Charlotte Toerber

Senior Vice President & General Counsel

Ms. Toerber is responsible for the legal affairs of the Lakeside Energy including supporting the firm’s acquisition, financing and financial restructuring activities.  In addition, Ms. Toerber provides legal counsel and support to Lakeside’s portfolio companies.

Ms. Toerber has over 20 years experience as a corporate, commercial, construction and transactional attorney, primarily representing clients in the energy and construction industries. Prior to joining Lakeside Energy in 2007, she was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Primary Energy and supported the company’s acquisition, financing and financial restructuring activities, which included the IPO of Primary Energy Recycling Corporation, a Canadian income trust traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX: PRI.UN). Prior to joining Primary Energy, Ms. Toerber was in private practice representing both large corporate clients and privately owned, mid-sized entrepreneurial companies engaged in a variety of businesses and industries, including energy, manufacturing, construction, marketing, transportation and logistics. Ms. Toerber was also Associate General Counsel and Secretary of Chicago Bridge & Iron Company, a NYSE multi-national construction company where she served as corporate secretary and was the principal transactional/commercial attorney on a wide variety of transactions.

Ms. Toerber received her J.D. degree from DePaul University and has a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois.
